Re: [-empyre-] "national representation" at Documenta

Hello dear friends

This feels like a bit of an overreaction. The quesion was asked what artists from australia are in documenta and I think a fairly objective report was made... in good faith.
relax a bit - I didn't read any nationalistic sub text being wheeled out.
'Blackbyrd' asked the question along with some generalizations. Melinda put some dry info to be absorbed into those comments.

In days gone by documenta really used to be considered the 'olympics' of the art world - it wasn't nationalism ... it was the time... i recall they referred to 'internationalism' in those days ;-).

Bravo, well said, and is there any chance they're not there as "art professionals" either? Or have art and the business card become synonymous, and basta cosi?
